Search Party

about

The Track Overview:
I've been on a steady diet of electronic music and heavy metal over the past year. Modern avant-garde metal bands like Zeal & Ardor and old-school favorites like Iron Maiden have been playlisted alongside Jon Hopkins, Com Truise and Tim Hecker in my house. Search Party is an ode to that tiny realm between those two worlds that is inhabited by people like Carpenter Brut, Dan Termius and Perturbator. I wanted to take kind of Darksynth music I made on Wave Grid and Terminus Abruptus and push it further into that territory. The result sits somewhere along the spectrum from Black Sabbath to Blue Monday but is still very much influenced by those same 1980s soundtracks that influenced Wave Grid. More to come. Stay tuned.
